AQR, Khorasan Razavi endowments organization sign joint Quranic agreement

The Quranic Affairs Center of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) and the Khorasan Razavi Endowments and Charity Affairs Organization signed a cooperation agreement to implement the national program of “I Love the Quran.”

The signing ceremony took place at Hosseinieh Hazrat Zeinab Kobra, a charity endowed by the late Haj Mohammad Azizi.
Dr. Abdolhamid Talebi, head of the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi, Hoj. Seyed Masoud Mirian, director of the Quranic Affairs Center, and Hoj. Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, director-general of Khorasan Razavi Endowments and Charity Affairs Organization, attended the event.
According to Mirian, “The program was launched in 2021 on the birth anniversary of Imam Reza as the first joint Quranic initiative between sacred sites and shrines in Iran”.
The program offers virtual Quran education, covering recitation, interpretation, Tajweed (the set of rules governing the proper pronunciation and recitation of the Quran), and memorization of the 30th Joz’ (part), taught by experienced instructors.
Each year, over 100 million pilgrims visit sacred sites, including 50 million at Imamzadeh shrines, making Quranic education essential.
In its first year, the program saw an overwhelming number of registrations, establishing itself as the largest online Quran learning network in Iran and the Islamic world.
“The media play a crucial role in expanding the program’s reach, highlighting the need for extensive promotion through digital platforms, broadcast media, and national television”, Mirian stressed.
The program’s preservation initiative is managed by the endowments organization, which has provided facilities for Quran memorization training.
To date, approximately 113,000 people have participated, with 19,000 earning official certificates approved by Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Elsewhere, Ahmadzadeh pointed to the importance of engaging youth and universities, pledging expanded Quran education for students and educators.
