Pilgrims mourn at special night of Imam Reza pilgrimage

Pilgrims at Imam Reza shrine mourn and grieve on special pilgrimage night of the Eighth Imam (AS) concurrent with 23rd of Dhu al-Qi'dah.

The special program began with recitation of Ziyarat Aminullah and expression of devotion by lovers of infallible Imams (AS). Following this, Hoj. Seyyed Hossein Hasheminejad spoke about personality of Imam Reza (AS) for the audience.
"This great Imam is aware of conditions of all his pilgrims who enter this divine sanctuary and bestows his grace upon all of them," Hasheminejad stated.
Referring to the virtue of visiting Imam Reza shrine he said: "Pilgrims of the shrine will have highest position with Almighty God on the day of judgment, because in some narrations, the reward for visiting Imam Reza shrine is said to be equal to 1000 mandatory Hajj pilgrimages and even more."
Speaker of the holy shrine added, "All individuals who are honored to visit the divine complex of Imam Reza (AS) are invited by the Imam himself; no one can be honored to visit those great ones without invitation and permission. Therefore, pilgrims should appreciate moments they are present in this divine sanctuary and make the most of it."
Poetry, eulogy and lamentation recitation for Ahl al-Bayt (AS) alongside recitation of Tawassul prayer were among other programs of this special pilgrimage night.
According to a narration, 23rd of Dhu al-Qi'dah coincides with the night of martyrdom of Imam Reza (AS) and it is considered as a special pilgrimage occasion of the Eighth Imam (AS).
