During a visit to the burial place of Martyr Raeisi, Ayat. Marvi honored his legacy alongside the martyrs of the tragic helicopter crash on May 21, 2024.
Addressing senior officials and managers at Imam Reza Shrine, the top official expressed deep respect for the sacrifices of these devoted servants of the nation, praying for divine mercy upon them and patience for their grieving families.
Ayat. Marvi highlighted the personal qualities of these martyrs, particularly the late president, describing them as “faithful, humble, and tireless individuals who never sought personal gain or worldly status”.
He emphasized: “Their sole focus was on sincere service to the people, especially the underprivileged and needy”.
The Custodian further noted that late Ayat. Raeisi and his companions were deeply committed to the guidance of the Leader, resisting Western pressures while remaining steadfast in upholding the core values of the Islamic Revolution.
“Raeisi never pursued a luxurious lifestyle but instead dedicated himself to solving the nation’s challenges and advancing its development”, the custodian of Astan Quds Razavi stressed.
He also praised the relentless efforts of Martyr Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the late foreign minister, in defending the rights of the oppressed in Palestine and Lebanon.
“Martyr Amir-Abdollahian worked tirelessly, day and night, mobilizing all diplomatic resources to support the Palestinian and Lebanese people during times of crisis”, Ayat. Marvi recalled.
AQR’s Custodian emphasized that these martyrs never treated their responsibilities as mere formalities but approached them with sincerity and a divine sense of duty, striving for meaningful impact both domestically and internationally.
“Their actions were always guided by a desire to seek God’s satisfaction, making their service a reflection of their deep faith”, he noted.
Marvi also highlighted Raeisi’s profound spiritual connection to Imam Reza, recalling numerous occasions when he witnessed the late president’s heartfelt prayers and supplications at the shrine. “Raeisi consistently sought guidance and strength from Imam Reza throughout his life, demonstrating his unwavering devotion”.
In conclusion, Ayat. Marvi urged all officials to follow Martyr Raeisi’s example by recognizing their own shortcomings and seeking spiritual support from the Ahl al-Bayt.
