Participating in the 44th scientific panel of the Fourth International Congress of Imam Reza and Modern Sciences at Imam Reza International University, Professor Mohamedali said: “Humans have an urgent need for a kind of balance between material and spiritual aspects of their lives”.
He added: “It is the religion that helps man to create this balance. Religion pays attention to the spiritual and faith aspects of the life in addition to material and physical aspects”.
In another part of his speech, this university professor stated that translation of religious texts has faced a heavy tragedy throughout history adding, “In the translation of religious texts, if the translator does not believe in the original text, he cannot grasp the original meaning. Therefore, component of belief is seriously felt when doing translation of religious texts”.
Mohamedali advised students from Islamic countries to learn living languages of the world and play a role in spreading teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) throughout the world.
Citing the noble tradition of "Indeed, if people knew beauties of our words, they would surely follow us”, the Australian researcher said: "The only way to globalize teachings of Ahl al-Bayt is to introduce beauties of their words to the world people, and it is our duty to convey these beauties to the world”.
He also stated: “Ahl al-Bayt belong to all people and all humanity, such that no one, whether Shia or non-Shia, can claim them as their own”.
Talking about Islam and Muslims in Australia, Prof. Mohamedali said: “Islam is one of the popular religions in Australia and Australian Muslims are concentrated in major cities such as Sydney and Melbourne”.
He added: “Given the trend of Islam's expansion in this country, the Muslim community in Australia numbers 800 thousand, of whom 100 thousand are Shia”.

Professor Abidali Mohamedali, a researcher at Macquarie University in Sydney, emphasizes that despite its materialistic advancements, the Western civilization lacks spiritual values preventing it from meeting human needs.
