IRIU ready to offer educational services to Uzbek students

Imam Reza International University (IRIU) has expressed readiness to provide educational programs in Persian language, information science, and manuscript studies for Uzbek students.

Dr. Ebrahim Davoudi, director of international affairs at Imam Reza International University, met with Umida Teshabayeva, director of Uzbekistan National Library in Tashkent, to discuss academic cooperation.
According to Dr. Davoudi: “One of the first disciplines established at the university was information science, aimed at training specialized personnel for Astan Quds Razavi’s central library and other interested students”.
In addition, the university introduced manuscript studies as a dedicated field.
“If Uzbekistan National Library expresses interest in recommending students or offering scholarships—whether to independent students or library staff—negotiations with Iran’s Ministry of Science could facilitate international student admissions in these disciplines”, IRIU’s official noted.
He also pointed to the extensive Persian-language resources available at Uzbekistan National Library and proposed that IRIU’s Persian Language Training Center organize in-person or online courses. “These programs, particularly focused on reading classical texts, would help enhance the Persian proficiency of the library’s staff”.
For her part, Teshabayeva welcomed these proposals and expressed hope that they would be implemented soon.
