Addressing the opening ceremony of “Farnood 8” exhibition in Tehran, Feizi said: “Benefactors and donors have entrusted their assets and valuable objects to Astan Quds Razavi. We are so pleased to be the trustees of individuals who have dedicated their wealth and assets to the school of Ahl al-Bayt and Imam Reza (AS)”.
Referring to the conceptualization of Farnood 8 Exhibition in Malek complex, he added: “We received a request from Malek National Library and Museum for sending ancient objects of the Central Museum of Astan Quds Razavi to Tehran so that they can be put into public display. This was not an easy decision for us to adopt for the reason of maintenance protocols; however, we accepted it and sent 40 objects for a one-month display at Malek National Library and Museum’s exhibition”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Feizi stated: "The fact that artists have dedicated their valuable artistic works to this holy shrine as a memento has a deep meaning and significance”.
“Pilgrims in Mashhad spend most of their time on pilgrimage and may not have an opportunity to visit the museum. The move gives an opportunity to the devotees of Imam Reza (AS) to visit these valuable works in Tehran."
Feizi also expressed hope that this good experience would help AQR to present this model in other parts of the country as well.
Speaking in the same ceremony, Amir Khorakian, director of Malek National Library and Museum, also stated that it is the first time such a permission is issued. "Farnood 8 exhibition includes religious and historical artifacts as well as works of art that are memorable and valuable to people."
The exhibition will be open to the public for one month starting from May 25 at the Malek National Library and Museum in Tehran.
