In a meeting with Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s representatives in various cities in Iraq, Hoj Ahmad Marvi referred to Imam Reza as the true owner of the country, the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic government.
“To the enemies’ resentment, the Islamic Revolution of Iran has had profound internal and external impacts, and lifted hope and confidence across the Islamic world; so much so that it has paved the way for the resistance movements in the region such as the Lebanese Hezbollah, Yemeni and Syrian people to score victories against the Israeli regime”, he stated.
The head of shrine also talked about the post-Revolution developments in Iran, stressing: “Post-Revolution Iran has taken big steps in various fields such as health, higher education, military power, etc. while it was a dependent country before the Revolution”.
Hoj. Marvi cited the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s Infallible Household as the two origins of the Islamic Revolution, noting: “This Revolution is not confined to a country; rather it is concerned with all humanity”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he touched upon numerous common grounds between the Iranian and Iraqi nations. “We consider Iraqi dignity, development, security, welfare and peace as our own, and nothing can separate the two great Shia nations of the region”, he continued.
Stressing that the US is after interfering in Iraq and colonizing the Arab country, Hoj. Marvi added: “The enemy resents the solidarity, unity and friendship in the Islamic Ummah, and seeks to sow discord. It will go to great lengths to show Islamic Republic’s services in a bad light”
He concluded his remarks by taking pride in hosting some two million Iraqi pilgrims each year in Imam Reza shrine in northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad. “We have even allocated a portico and courtyard in the shrine to the Arab pilgrims”, he said.
