‘Once Upon A Time, Brother’ series to be aired on national TV

On the occasion of Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations, a new TV series titled ‘Once Upon A Time, Brother’ is scheduled to be aired on Channel 3 of Iran national TV under the aegis of Communications and Media Center of Imam Reza shrine

According to the producer, Sajjad Asadi, the series is about missing martyrs of the 8-year Iran-Iraq imposed war.

“The main character of the story, Dr Tadayyon, is the brother of a commander, who had been missing for years. As rumors abound about the commander, the doctor decides to change his family name. Tadayyon, a geneticist, who is about to immigrate, learns about finding a ring belonging to his martyred brother. To know more about his family identity, he changes his mind about immigration and goes after the ring…”, added Asadi.

The series has been scheduled for broadcast on Channel 3 from May 10.

Stating that research work for the series took some five years, Asadi noted: “After Channel 3 submitted the proposal to Imam Reza shrine, the plot and script were accepted, and the production was launched afterwards”.

A part of the series was shot in Mashhad, but the main scenes were filmed in Tehran, Holy Defense Cinema Town, and Imam Reza shrine as well.

The series, which comes in eight 40-minute episodes, is directed by Mohammad Reza Ahanj.
