Committee of holy shrines representatives holds 49th session in Qom

The 49th session of the Committee of Representatives of Holy Shrines and Sacred Sites of Iran, as well as the preliminary session for the 7th Assembly of Custodians of holy shrines and sacred sites of Iran, were held at Hazrat Masoumeh shrine, in the central Iranian city of Qom.

The session, which took place in the Mehrab Hall of Hazrat Masoumeh shrine, was attended by Hoj. Mostafa Faghih Esfandiari, Deputy for International Affairs of Imam Reza shrine, along with representatives from shrines of Hazrat Masoumeh, Shah Cheragh, Shah Abdol-Azim Hassani, Jamkaran Mosque, the Leader’s office, and the National Endowment Office.
In the opening remarks, Hoj. Faghih Esfandiari highlighted the significance of such sessions, emphasizing the need for the "pilgrimage software" to create a new Islamic civilization. He stressed, “Achieving this goal requires the exchange of views, debates, and sharing experiences among the shrines”.
According to Ayat. Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi, Hazrat Masoumeh shrine’s Custodian, “All the prophets and Imams are interconnected, and the shrines should collectively promote a unified message and culture”.
He added that religious occasions serve as a motivation for commemorating and honoring these revered figures, bringing numerous blessings and impacts.
Ayat. Saeedi also emphasized the importance of sincere and continuous service to the Ahl al-Bayt, noting “While pilgrimage is a fundamental aspect, sometimes focusing on the fringes can enhance the core effect — such as setting up stations during periods of mourning and celebration, which serve as cultural hubs”.
He stressed that the holy shrines should convey the messages of truth and reality to the people, making them feel as if they are entering a school of learning. “The text for this school is the pilgrimage supplications composed by the Infallibles”.
Hazrat Masoumeh shrine’s Custodian further emphasized that a unified voice, culture, and message should emanate from the shrines, and it is the heavy responsibility of the shrine officials to coordinate and help implement programs according to their capabilities.
The session also reviewed the decisions of previous meetings, gathered participants' opinions, and discussed the agenda for the 7th Assembly of Custodians of holy shrines and sacred sites.
