Razavi Hospital supports of the poor worth 680 billion Rials: CEO

Razavi Hospital has provided people in deprived areas with free of charge medical services worth around 680 billion Rials in last three and half a year, says, Dr. Mohsen Mehvar, CEO of the hospital.

        

Dr. Mehvar said: “To implement orders of the chief custodian of the holy shrine, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the hospital has had a very special attention to the health issue of the poor and tried to give free and very cheap medical services for those living in less developed areas of Razavi Khorasan province”.
He added: “Razavi Hospital’s Support Unit gives special assistances and supports to those that are recognized as vulnerable patients”.  
CEO of the hospital mentioned: “The hospital sends medical teams to different deprived areas of the city and province which have already been identified by the expert groups. Deprived areas are sometimes selected by announcing requests from the villages themselves. Moreover, program of visiting outskirts of the city and surrounding villages for the purpose of extracting health problems is on the agenda of hospitals’ expert groups”.
Dr. Mehvar stated: “Camps are held monthly with participation of experts in fields of dentistry, gynecology, obstetrics, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, optometry, and psychology”.
He went on to say: “Hospital's services to the underprivileged is also followed by the efforts of the hospital's education department and health promotion unit in the form of health education. Part of the activities of this unit is carried out by implementing various programs in deprived areas. Also, under the order of Hoj. Marvi, Razavi Hospital is responsible for purchasing and donating medical equipment to the country's medical centers especially those in deprived areas”.
