"According to the latest report from Elsevier released in 2024, Imam Reza International University ranks 138th among non-profit universities in the country and has two researchers in the top two percent globally, holding the highest number of researchers in the Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list," Sadeghi Bajestani stated.
He added: “Imam Reza International University is on par with universities like Imam Hussein, Shahed, and Mazandaran University of Science and Technology, and it is positioned higher than Farhangian University, Tabriz University of Art, Birjand Industrial University, and University of Science and Culture”.
Sadeghi Bajestani referred to the identification and evaluation of researchers based on the number of citations they received, noting: “In this evaluation system, data from publications and citations across 22 broad subject areas and 174 specific subject areas were analyzed. Researchers receiving the highest number and ratio of citations in each scientific domain and ranking among the top two percent of the list have been introduced as top researchers”.
Imam Reza international University’s deputy for research and technology went on to say: “Elsevier annual performance list includes 223,252 researchers from around the world and 2,327 researchers from Iran, while job performance list contains 217,097 researchers globally and 1,020 researchers from Iran. Based on this data, Imam Reza International University ranks first among Iranian non-profit universities in terms of the number of researchers, standing at 138th place”.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Afsaneh Ghanizadeh, an associate professor in English language department, and Daryoush Abasinejad, a graduate of Master's Degree in Information Technology at Imam Reza International University, have been listed among the top two percent of scientists in the world in 2024.
