Referring to the defined missions of the banquet hall, Salehi said: “The first and most important mission of the center is to provide high quality and healthy food for the visitors of the complex. This issue has always been emphasized by the chief custodian of shrine”.
He stated: “In the management of holy shrine’s banquet hall, we seek to make daily changes in order to improve our services. We also do our best to serve Imam Reza’s (AS) guests based on their requests and tastes”.
Pointing to the role of banquet hall during crises, Salehi stressed: “The center is always pioneer in doing social responsibilities. In addition to follow high level hygiene instructions, it is an active centers of the society in critical situations. During last winter’s sleet, for example, the center distributed thousands of food packages among people in need both in Mashhad and in other towns of the province”.
“In addition to provide pilgrims with blessed food in three meals of the day, the banquet hall provides meals of the servants and personnel of the holy shrine as well. It cooks for 19 thousand to 22 thousand people a day in three meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner. On special occasions of the year, cooking and distribution of food increase as it reached 70 thousand packages in last ten days of Safar of the last year”, he mentioned.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Salehi said: “Considering process of giving service and atmosphere of the banquet hall in three areas of pilgrim, personnel, and staff led to the reception of best level of Tayyeb (Pure) license by the center”.
Concluding his remarks, manager of Quds Razavi Bread Company stated: “All these services are given by 200 official staff and over three thousand volunteer servants”.
