Hoj. Seyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, Deputy for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs at Astan Quds Razavi, highlighted efforts to provide dedicated services for Arabic-, Urdu-, English-, and Azeri-speaking pilgrims.

In previous years, logistical challenges and extended holidays had reduced the number of non-Iranian visitors during Nowruz. However, this year, enriched by the blessed Nights of Qadr, the presence of international pilgrims has markedly increased in Mashhad (northeast Iran).

To accommodate the non-Iranian pilgrims, specific porticoes have been allocated: Dar-al-Rahmah and Dar-al-Hidayah for Arabic speakers, Ghadir for Urdu-speaking visitors, and Dar-al-Tafsir for Azerbaijani pilgrims.

As a new initiative, Melal Portico has been set aside exclusively for English-speaking pilgrims. Events in English, conducted both in person and virtually, feature prominent scholars, orators, and Quranic reciters from countries like Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, and the UK. These programs have received overwhelmingly positive reactions from attendees.
