Leader’s strategic mastery reshapes war outcome, humiliates enemy: Custodian

The Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), Ayat. Ahmad Marvi, says wise and courageous Islamic leadership turned the tide of 12-day war in Iran’s favor, forcing enemy to seek ceasefire.

In a meeting with seminary students active in digital media, held at Velayat Hall of Imam Reza Shrine, Ayat. Marvi said: “During the 12-day war, the wise and courageous leadership of the Imam of the Ummah, Ayatollah Khamenei, played an unparalleled role in defeating the enemy”.

“The Leader’s sound management and timely decisions changed the outcome of the war in favor of the Iranian nation and forced the enemy to request a ceasefire”, he stated.

Ayat. Marvi referred to the strategic mastery of the Leader and the great victory of the Iranian nation in the 12-day war, noting, “One of the most prominent aspects of Iran’s victory in this war was the wise leadership of the Imam of the Ummah. The Leader never speaks of himself, but in the 12-day war, he managed the battlefield with insight, resolve, and courage. We must not overlook the critical role of the Leader during these days. His swift and sound decisions at that sensitive juncture changed enemy calculations and the course of the war”.

Referring to Israel’s six-day war with Arab states, he said: “In the 1960s, during the six-day war between Egypt, Syria, and Jordan with Israel, Israel launched a surprise attack on Egypt and managed to defeat all three countries in a short time, occupying vast territories. Israel intended to repeat that experience in its attack on Iran. That is why, in one night, it martyred Iran’s top-tier military commanders. Such a blow would have crushed any other country. But Iran stood firm and won, and eventually the enemy was forced to request a ceasefire”.

“Just hours after the martyrdom of the commanders, the Leader appointed new ones, and Iran’s missile operations began on the very first night of the attack. No one imagined that Iran could stand against such a massive threat with such speed and strength. The Leader’s powerful command disrupted all enemy plans”.

“Iran’s missiles truly brought Israel to its knees. Of course, the missiles fired on the twelfth day were not yet from Iran’s new generation. Ultimately, the enemy, despite all its crimes, could not withstand the will of the Iranian nation and was forced to request a ceasefire”, he continued.

The top official went on to say: “Iran’s victory in the 12-day war is not only a sign of its military power, but also a testament to the wisdom and prudence of the Imam of the Ummah, whose courageous and sound leadership led to the enemy’s defeat”.

Referring to enemy plots to undermine the unique position of the Leader of the Revolution, he asserted: “Today, more than ever, the enemy has realized the vital role of the Leader and will use all its resources to attack this lofty position. They know that a nation without its Imam and Leader is easily defeated”.

AQR’s Custodian added: “In digital media and other platforms, the pivotal role of the Leader in guiding the country since the victory of the Islamic Revolution must be addressed. The Leader’s management during various periods, especially in confronting challenges and crises, defending the ideals of the Revolution, and countering internal and external threats, must be instilled in the minds of society and the younger generation”.

He further noted: “We must never assume that the Leader is under pressure and that we need to prepare conditions for him. These are false assumptions. The Supreme Leader is more powerful than any government, faction, or individual that might try to pressure or impose conditions on him. As someone who has served the Leader for over thirty years, I have witnessed this strength and authority firsthand and know well that he is never influenced by pressure or flattery”.

Ayat. Marvi stated: “The Leader is one of the manifestations of the noble hadith, ‘The believer sees with the light of God.’ In his decisions and strategies, he is always guided by divine light, and no human force can divert him from the divine path. If we seek salvation and wish to earn the pleasure of Imam Mahdi, we must always move in the direction of the Leader and align our positions with his. The path to success and prosperity lies in following the great Leader”.

He then referred to the responsibility of media professionals in explaining the events of the 12-day war and Iran’s victory, saying: “In the recent 12-day war, media professionals and digital activists performed very well. But this path must not end here. Explaining the realities and achievements of this war must continue. This active presence is vital not only to counter the lies and distortions of enemies, but also to strengthen and preserve unity among the people. We must always emphasize unity, with a focus on preserving religious and moral values”.

In another part of his remarks, Ayat. Marvi emphasized the need for honesty and courage in promoting religion. Referring to the Quranic verse, ‘Those who convey the messages of God and fear Him, and fear none but God’, he said, “In media and digital platforms, we sometimes fear speaking the truth because it may go against the audience’s preferences. Sometimes, to please the audience, we deviate from the truth and say something incorrect. These behaviors are satanic temptations”.

Ayat. Marvi concluded by stressing the importance of accuracy in reporting and said, “Publishing incorrect, undocumented, and unsourced content can create doubt and confusion in society. Today, information spreads rapidly in digital media and news platforms, so we must publish accurate and well-sourced content with responsibility and care”.
