The project for development of pilgrim service spaces and refurbishment of the façade of Qibla Square has been inaugurated in a ceremony at Imam Reza shrine, northeast Iran, with the shrine’s custodian and other officials in attendance.
The Chief director of Imam Reza shrine announced that over one-hundred thousand servants are blessed to serve the pilgrims in the shrine annually, stressing on the expansion of services.
Deputy Office for International Pilgrims Affairs of Imam Reza shrine estimated that 5 to 7 million non-Iranian pilgrims visit the shrine each year, to whom some 25 different kinds of services are provided.
