Spiritual Itikaf ceremony underway at Imam Reza Shrine
Coinciding with the Ayyam al-Baidh of the month of Rajab, the spiritual Itikaf ceremony is being held at the Goharshad Mosque of Imam Reza Shrine. The event started on January 14 and will continue for three days with some 1,500 male and female worshippers in attendance. Ayyam al-Baidh, translated as ‘The White Days’ refers to the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of each lunar Islamic month, specifically in the months of Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadan. These days are considered especially significant for fasting and worship in Islamic traditions.

Program in honor of Imam Ali underway at Imam Reza shrine
A special program titled "Shah-e Molk-e Lafataa" (King of the Land of Inconsiderate) in honor of Imam Ali was organized by the Deputy Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims' Affairs on January 13, with Urdu-speaking female pilgrims and residents in attendance, at Ghadir Courtyard of Imam Reza shrine. The term "Shah-e Molk-e Lafataa" is a phrase taken from renowned Iranian poet Shahriar’s poem in praise of Imam Ali, the first Imam of Shia Muslims.

Imam Reza shrine was bathed in light and joy on the night of Imam Javad's birth anniversary, witnessing the presence of pilgrims and devotees of Imam Reza. Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad witnessed a beautiful celebration on the night of Imam Javad’s (the 10th Shia Imam) birth anniversary. Pilgrims and devotees gathered in large numbers to express their love and devotion to the Imam. In addition to the festivities, a flower shower ceremony took place on Friday night, January 10, commemorating the birth of Hazrat Javad (Prophet Muhammad’s grandson). The ceremony started from Shohada Square in Mashhad and proceeded towards Imam Reza shrine, attracting numerous devotees who paid tribute to the Ahlul Bayt.
