Donations to Imam Reza shrine, possible via crypto currency

Imam Reza shrine’s Department General of Vows and Donations announced that the option of paying donations and vows through crypto currencies is now open for benefactors, especially those residing abroad.

“In a bid to facilitate the payment of donations and vows to Imam Reza shrine for benefactor outside of Iran, and expand remote payment of vows, a website for payments via crypto currency has been launched”, said Alireza Esmaeelzadeh, the department director general.

Currently, it is possible for benefactors residing abroad to remotely pay their donations and vows in five cryptos including ETH, BTC, LTC, USDT and DOGE on a website affiliated with Imam Reza shrine.

According to the director general, the website runs in two languages of Persian and English at https://donate.razavi.ir.

As for the conditions to deposit donations into currency accounts the official continued: “As a result of negotiations between the shrine and Bank Tejarat, it’s now possible for benefactors abroad to deposit money into currency accounts through credible agents of the bank in six branches in Paris, Minsk, Moscow, Dushanbe, and Dubai”.

Pointing that Euro is the major foreign currency in depositing donations and vows into the shrine’s currency account, Esmaeelzadeh added: “Imam Reza’s lovers abroad can deposit their donations via the banks as follows”:
