In a special program dubbed ‘Ana Ali Al-Ahd’ (I stand by my promise) commemorating martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din, held at Imam Khomeini Portico of Imam Reza shrine on February 23, Hoj. Ali Shirazi referred to verse 33 of Surah Al-Ahzab and said: “Some of the believers are great men who are true to their covenant with God; some have fulfilled their vow by martyrdom, and others are awaiting their turn, never wavering in their resolve".
He added, “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was passionate about ascension and martyrdom, with a love for God that burned brightly within him. His devotion to early morning prayers and supplications to God and his reliance on divine figures were known to all”.
Hoj. Shirazi highlighted Nasrallah's loyalty to the leadership as his most significant trait, saying, "Martyr Soleimani described him by stating: ‘We must learn the lesson of leadership from Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’".
He continued, "Martyr Nasrallah often reminded us that although you are in Iran and alongside the leadership, you do not fully appreciate its significance. From afar, in Lebanon, we perceive the greatness and light of the leadership and understand its true meaning".
The deputy head of the Ministry of Defense’s political-religious organization noted: “During the 33-day war, at a time when the situation was dire and Israel, as in recent times, had leveled the entire Dahieh region, all Lebanese commanders had lost hope of victory. However, the Leader sent a message to Martyr Soleimani, stating: ‘Tell Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah that you are the victor of this war’”.
Hoj. Shirazi went on to say: “In the depths of despair, when he received the wise Leader’s message, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah arranged for an interview and confidently declared to everyone that we are the victors of this war”.
He concluded his remarks by saying, “His spirit of martyrdom and resistance was felt from his time studying in Qom to his return to Lebanon and his role as the Secretary General of Hezbollah. He was truly a man of the field”.
