The Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi was established in November 1984 at the directive of Ayatollah Tabasi (may he rest in peace), the late custodian of Imam Reza shrine, with the aim of promoting and publishing valuable works in the field of Islamic sciences and culture.
Astan Quds Razavi’s central library keeps a 145-year-old English language travelogue to Khorasan and northwest border of Afghanistan printed with movable type.
